Hi everyone, and welcome to another year of Physoc! Our first event of the year will be taking place tomorrow at 7pm in Kane G19, where Prof. Stephen Fahy will be giving a talk entitled "X-Ray Lasers: Imaging Atomic Motion".
As usual, we'll have a near-infinite supply of cookies and milk on offer, so you can learn about fascinating properties of nature while scoffing delicious biscuits. The best of all possible worlds! Be sure to come along, we don't bite (we'll be too busy eating cookies anyway)!
The Mystery Tour photos are up super fast this time! The biggest batch yet too! Which we all know just means more to laugh at :p

Uploaded the photos from our '90s quiz! I hope you all had a great time and are enjoying your prizes! We had loads of fun hosting it and writing it, it was one big long nostalgic trip. Thanks for coming! ![]()

Don't forget that our '90s-themed Table Quiz will be on at 8pm in the New Bar this Monday (1st of March)! It's €4 to take part, and teams can have up to 5 members. We'll also be running a raffle, with some fantastic '90s prizes to give away. It's €2 per ticket, or €5 for three tickets. It'll be lots of fun, so be sure to take part!
I've also posted up the poster for the event, which you may have seen around campus! Click on it for high-res nostalgic goodness. Many props to Heather Jackson (our Photography & Media Officer) for putting it together, and Brendan Curtis (our Social Secretary) for working on the questions with her!

At long last the Maths Physics ball photos are up for all to see (and cringe at :p)!

We're holding our annual Physoc Christmas Party at 8pm tonight, in room G7 of the Kane Building. There'll be plenty of free crackers, selections of cheeses, mince pies and festive cheer to go around!
We'll be braving the winter cold and heading to the Liquid Lounge afterwards, where much dancing and even worse - singing to cheesy Christmas hits will inevitably ensue. Oh dear.
Be sure to come, anyway, it should be great fun!
